What will you help us create?

The Role:
As a Sr. Technical Program Manager, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to design, manage, and deliver innovative consumer products, technologies, and tools. In this role, you will:
- Work with key stakeholders in product management and executive teams to define strategy and requirements
- Drive data-based activities to develop insights on device and accessory performance and improvement recommendations
- Lead cross functional and full stack problem-solving and development activities from design through delivery
- Work with global teams to deliver supporting software and services in sync with launch timelines.
- Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks and change control
- Work with subject matter experts to lead and drive new technology initiatives and evaluations for next generation Amazon products and features
- Work with component leads to drive evaluation and adoption of new vendor technologies and HW
- Work with vendors and external partners to deliver device software and firmware technologies into our products

About the team
The team works on middleware software and therefore connects with third party vendor firmware with upper stack application developers. As a fundamental technology component the team connects across the whole devices organization and is involved in all product and device features. Technical Program Managers are a critical facet of the organization and this role will report to a Senior TPM manager.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
