Do you love opportunities to combine your deep technical depth with the chance to transform an industry? Would you like to imagine the possible, collaborate on ideas with the top companies in the world and some of the best talent within AWS to see those ideas come to life? Candidates must possess business-level fluency in Japanese and English, including the ability to communicate effectively in professional settings, understand and produce complex documents, participate in business meetings and leading deeply technical workshops. If so, you might be interested in joining AWS Industry Products as a Solutions Architect.

Key job responsibilities
Here as a Solutions Architect you will...
- Leverage your domain depth to develop ideas that create new innovative products, services or solutions to address real-world problems. These ideas may come from your own experiences, key customer partners, or other groups within Amazon.
- Create technology solutions and evolve them as we gain new insights and understanding. You understand how to decompose big ideas into discrete and deliverable components and often roll up your sleeves to get stuff done.
- Use your wisdom to assess whether things are doable with the knowledge of today, how they might be achievable with further development of existing solutions, or when things require new research and science.
- Keep close ties with the consumers of our services and look around corners to help us better anticipate future needs. You know how to take those insights and develop them into concrete proposals.
- Refine and advocate a ‘north star’ to guide business decision making with executives and team alignment. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. You understand how to craft a thesis and can show your work.
- Travel up to 20%, including domestic and potentially international destinations.

A day in the life
Here at AWS Industry Products (AIP), we ideate, build and evolve AWS services by applying Amazon’s culture of innovation, AWS’ digital technologies, and new breakthroughs to solve industry problems. We work in small teams staffed with leading domain experts, development teams, scientists, architects and product leaders. We use the skill and scale of AWS to make a connected world achievable for all businesses. When we succeed, we’ve built or significantly improved a readily-consumable AWS service that removes industry barriers. You will help us envision and build the right technological solutions that can scale to meet our customers needs.
