Key job responsibilities
You will work in one of our Agile teams, launching and growing new initiatives for Amazon's global business. As an engineer, you can be involved in every aspect of the process - from idea generation, business analysis and technical design through to development and deployment across a variety of technologies - giving you a real sense of ownership. Together we build systems which meet high standards of performance and reliability and operate at massive scale.

A day in the life
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of front end experience of critical UI for Prime Video. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define the features, working with our dedicated Product and UX teams and driving the system front end architecture by implementing best practices.

About the team
Our team owns the customer experience of the major entry points on Prime Video Web for video discovery, we drive complex business problems, build global technology solutions to provide customized compelling content to customers in each country where we operate. Specifically, our team enables Prime Video customers to instantly discover, search, navigate, and browse content, using any modern web browser on any device anywhere in the world. Likewise, we educate our customers about the functionalities of our service and the different offering options available.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience building scalable, distributed, front-end experiences
- Experience building reusable UX components or libraries
- Experience (non-internship) in professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in agile software development methodology
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
