Senior Trade Compliance Manager, Global Trade Services

The EMEA Global Trade Services (GTS) team helps deliver hundreds of thousands of items each day, obsessing over the import and export compliance requirements so that our customers, vendors, sellers and internal businesses can reliably send and receive a broad range of products, equipment and software.
Are you interested in working on a high-visibility, high-impact, high fun and global team? We are looking for an energetic and talented Senior Trade Compliance Manager to better serve our customers in Europe. You will execute on a broad range of trade compliance matters. You will work directly with business leadership, procurement teams, Legal, Tax, Public Policy and a variety of other internal business partners, as well as external vendors, to drive trade compliance requirements across the supply chain. Principal Duties
· Work with Amazon’s Global Trade Compliance team to execute strategy, drive & enforce global import / export processes and leverage technologies,
· Design and execute a compliance risk management and governance program,
· Drive scalable business solutions to ensure compliance with trade regulations in Europe,
· Process implementation work within the team, businesses and Corporate Legal to enforce Amazon policies,
· Educate internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance on our projects and processes,
· Collaborate with, Business, Legal, Tax and Public Policy departments on efforts as necessary,
· Collaborate with Amazon’s technology teams to develop best Trade Compliance solutions for our business,
· Leverage data to continuously improve compliance at Amazon.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in trade compliance, customs operations, or related areas
- In-depth knowledge of global trade regulations, including import/export laws and customs procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
- Master's degree or equivalent
