Program Manager, Project Manager, Launch & Asset Retirement
DESCRIPTION
Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is seeking a qualified Launch & Asset Retirement Manager to solve the complex challenges of ensuring planning, deployment and implementation of delivery station retrofits, expansions and new station launches with minimal to no disruption to capacity. These programs make up some of Amazon and AMZL's most strategic initiatives as the team automates and optimizes the network. In this role, the individual will have direct responsibility for volumes solves during project installation as well as new launches for their assigned sites. The Launch & Asset Retirement Manager will be the liaison between a multitude of stakeholders including Start-Up & REI Planning, Entitlements, Transportation Engineering Services (TES) Pre-Construction, TES Construction, Start-Up Execution, Design Engineering, WHS, Capacity Engineering, S&OP and many more. This role calls for an individual who can over index on ownership to de-conflict multiple competing projects at each site and drive timely delivery. This role’s scope necessitates the ability to solve ambiguous issues and provide effective solutions to gaps between teams, processes and systems.
Key job responsibilities
* Clearly communicate program issues and challenges to senior leaders in writing and via in-person/ remote meetings.
* Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve project/ program management efficiency.
* Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs.
*Up to 50% travel required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of operational and/or retail management experience
- Ability to navigate ambiguity well. Looking for a proven leader that has experience in launching new processes. Has experience leading workstreams with multiple stakeholders with inferred leadership to ensure a project is delivered on time, meeting the required KPIs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
