DESCRIPTION
As the Finance Manager, Fresh Private Brands, you will support the world-wide Private Brands business team through reporting optimization while gaining business partnership experience through vertical partnership. In this role, you will have direct P&L ownership and will partner with business, product, and operations leaders to drive meaningful topline growth and margin improvement. This is a hands-on role where to be successful you will need to spend time both behind a desk and in our stores. Grocery is a key investment area for the company and growing rapidly, so there will be opportunity to increase scope and exposure in this role.
Key job responsibilities
• Partner with Product Managers, Instock Managers, Vendor Managers, and Operations to optimize Private Brand offerings to maximize revenue growth and margin expansion.
• Drive accountability across Private Brands by first building and then leading mechanisms to review performance on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Create effective business partnerships, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance based on data analysis during unexpected events
• Demonstrate controllership through implementing audit mechanisms to ensure team is tracking to OP1/OP2 and guidance plans, innovate and automate effective bridging mechanisms
• Help to deliver weekly/monthly financial close. Uses financial systems and advanced MSExcel functions to work with large data sets. Output plans, forecasts, budgets, and consolidations.
• Participate in hiring, developing, and mentoring peers and team members. Seek and leverage diverse perspectives in all activities.
• Contribute to work life harmony by being a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer to new team members as an indicator of operations excellence.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years of finance experience, or master’s degree and three years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, Tableau, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• MBA and/or Professional certifications (CPA/CMA/Qualified Accounting certificate)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
