Business Intelligence Engineer, NFT BI
DESCRIPTION
Are you interested in visualization and building dynamic BI dashboards for World-Wide Amazon Fulfilment Network? European Central Flow BI Team is hiring a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to scale up BI projects to next level. The candidate should have broad technical skills to build analytical and reporting capabilities to deliver on strategic analytical/reporting projects, define/produce end-to-end metrics that inform product, business, and finance decisions and identify new growth opportunities through data-driven insights.
Key job responsibilities
The candidate for this role will be required to:
Publish, analyze and improve web-based dashboards, operational business metrics decks and key performance indicators, in other words, tell the story of business trends, patterns, and outliers through rich and interactive visualizations
Identify opportunities to optimize SQL queries behind the dashboard and add ETL pipelines if needed.
Propose and prioritize changes to reporting, create additional metrics, and own the data presented.
Continuously learn new systems, tools, and industry best practices (both BI and web) to help design new studies and build new tools
About the team
NFT BI Team is a data focused team that supports business innovative projects for Amazon Fulfilment. Our team mission is to drive improvements to customer experience, performance, and cost across Amazon’s warehouse systems, from initial delivery promise to the moment customer shipment left warehouse.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in the data/BI space
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
