The Amazon Logistics team is seeking an experienced, innovative, hands on and customer obsessed Senior Process Engineer to drive standardization and innovation in physical infrastructure, layout and material flow across our Middle Mile Sortation network. As a member of the Process Engineering arm of the Engineering team you will be responsible for producing and refining process standards, building on current best practices for physical infrastructure and designing Amazon Transportation equipment that is used across the Brazil network. Infrastructure you develop will always be produced to meet safety, customer experience, capacity, quality and cost goals. You will act as a key point of contact for the Process Engineering team, frequently partnering with leaders in the field, as well as other operational support functions and your WW counterparts.

This position requires strong leadership, deep customer focus, strong autonomy and exceptional project management skills. It will involve regular communication with executors and project sponsors at both the country and WW level, and requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable partnering across functional business and technical teams. To be successful in this role, you need to pair strong analytical skills and a data-driven outlook with strong intuition.

This role will be based out of Brazil and involves regular travel within the country as well as occasional international travel as required.


Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
· Define and document optimal processing infrastructure for operations customers
· Develop equipment solutions to improve safety, quality and cost
· Consume internal customer needs an problem statements, translate into requirements, develop solutions (equipment, process), test, validate and deliver scale up plans.
· Continuous improvement of team processes, driving replicable and scalable mechanisms
· Work independently to navigate ambiguous and complex problems into robust solutions
· Influence leaders and stakeholders to deliver highest standards

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree;
- Experience with directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects;
- Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment;
- Experience working under pressure in a cross-functional organization;
- Advanced English proficiency.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent;
- Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools;
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.);
- Experience with benchmarking technical equipment and metrics.
