Prime Video (PV) is a digital video streaming and download service that offers Amazon customers the ability to rent, purchase or subscribe to a huge catalog of content. Movies range from new releases to classic favorites, and PV also offers major television shows, entire seasons, and fast-follow content after airing on TV. Amazon’s video subscription offer service includes tens of thousands of movies and TV episodes selected from the full assortment available at Prime Video. In short, PV offers content in multiple formats and offer types for our customers to access and enjoy both their favorite shows and explore new titles.

The PV Partner Operations Management (POM) team is looking for a bright, customer obsessed, driven, and creative individual to join our team. POM is responsible for driving a world-class partner experience through enabling Partners to deliver assets of all varieties on-time, in full and at the PV quality bar.

As a Partner Operations Manager you will manage the operational performance of our third-party studios, content distributors and fulfillment vendors (collectively "partners"). You will drive long-term, strategic operational partnerships with our partners across the globe. In this role you will be accountable for timely and cost effective delivery of source materials from our partners. In addition, you will identify and drive delivery improvements through the use of reporting, data analysis, positive relationship building and innovative workflow enhancements. The ability to develop, own, and report on key performance metrics is a critical.

This role will work with executive-level leadership within the streaming community, as well as cross-functional projects with internal and external stakeholders. Internal teams include content acquisition, vendor management, marketing, engineering, content processing, legal, finance, and accounting teams. External teams vary based on partner and may include marketing, rights management, IT, engineering, Localization, Compliance, and digital fulfillment operations teams.

In addition to account management, the Partner Operations Manager will own industry-leading content launches and expansion initiatives into new markets and business lines, and will conduct analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction. In essence, Partner Operations Managers act as the general manager and own a partner’s operational experience on Amazon.

Key job responsibilities
- Consult and Advise Content Acquisition on partner capabilities and system requirements to ensure licensing deals will deliver the maximum ROI
- Advocate on behalf of partners and internal business stakeholders to ensure PV systems provide a best-in-class user experience, making PV the preferred global platform for content providers
- Distill insights on partner capabilities to advise and enhance business strategies such as new content and market launches
- Establish steady-state publishing management mechanisms built for scale and growth
- Manage complex escalations that may span across multiple business units
- Drive long-term solutions through automation and innovations to complex workflows
- Mentoring others and helping develop talent

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of demonstrated results as an Account or Vendor Manager in a technical, e-commerce, or media-related environment.
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong numerical and analytical aptitude, proven negotiating skills.
- Demonstrated ability to credibly coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders, as well as have an understanding of the systems and processes that will be utilized in achieving program objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to form relationships and work successfully with business and technical teams across the organization.
- Proven track record of delivering initiatives from conception through completion.
- Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically.
- Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple projects through work prioritization and planning.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to dig deep to achieve goals.
- Advanced knowledge with all MS Office tools.
- Must be fluent in both Japanese and English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience and understanding of the entertainment industry, digital media, and/or digital video supply chain.
- MBA
- A passion for digital media and entertainment.
