Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services is seeking an Enterprise Service Manager (ESM) to lead our engagements with key accounts in the Energy and Utilities vertical.

As an ESM, you will be the trusted advisor for our most significant customers in the energy sector, responsible for developing and executing long-term AWS Professional Services strategies. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cloud technology and the energy industry, driving digital transformation and innovation for some of the world's leading energy and utility companies.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key stakeholders in assigned accounts
• Create and execute long-term AWS Professional Services strategies aligned with customers' business objectives
• Drive business development, including opportunity identification, deal shaping, and contract negotiations
• Oversee delivery of AWS Professional Services engagements, ensuring high-quality outcomes and customer satisfaction
• Collaborate across AWS teams to bring innovative solutions and drive feature development based on customer needs
• Advocate for AWS services and translate their value into clear business propositions for the energy sector
• Manage the entire customer lifecycle, from initial engagement through ongoing support and expansion

About the team
AWS Professional Services is dedicated to helping customers realize their business objectives using cloud technology as an enabler. Our team works with a diverse range of global enterprises, bringing collective experience from across the AWS customer base. We are obsessed with customer success and collaborate across the entire AWS organization to deliver the right solutions and drive innovation based on customer needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of experience in IT consulting, professional services, or account management, preferably in the energy and utilities sector
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining C-level customer relationships
• Experience in complex solution selling and large-scale digital transformation projects
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies and their application in the energy industry
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with AWS services or other cloud platforms
• Knowledge of energy and utilities industry trends, challenges, and regulations
• MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field
• Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2)
• Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Understanding of cybersecurity and compliance requirements in the energy sector
