DESCRIPTION

We are looking to hire an experienced, thoughtful, strategic Copywriter to join the Brand Innovation Lab Automotive and Restaurants team as we invent new ways of discovering and shopping for top autos and quick-service restaurants brands across the Amazon Canvas. The candidate needs to have a knack for staying at the forefront of technology, delivering clear, compelling narratives and copy for our advertisers.

You'll partner with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Designers, Solutions Managers, Strategists, Producers and Sales partners. You'll collaborate with internal teams across the Amazon canvas such as Alexa, Twitch, IMDb, Prime Video, Thursday Night Football, Fresh, and Whole Foods. You'll assist on projects and present to clients, developing work that pushes the creative envelope. With every new technology and acquisition, comes a new opportunity to leverage for our advertisers.

This role will use data to uncover insights, craft presentation decks, develop scripts and templates, and concept never-been-done brand experiences. You have strong conceptual, presentation, and storytelling skills, as well as an acute attention to detail. You display exceptional writing skills and are able to simplify complex solutions.

Your portfolio must feature interesting, insight-driven campaigns and ideas that solve an advertiser problem through a variety of different media channels including video, social, digital, experiential, voice, radio, and outdoor. This role will be client-facing, so having great presentation skills is a must.



Key job responsibilities
* Concept, present, and execute innovative ad campaigns and experiences for automotive an restaurants brands.
* Partner with Art Directors, Designers, Program Managers, Developers, Strategists and Producers to create customer-focused solutions that deliver on advertiser objectives.
* Works collaboratively in developing campaigns, identifying problems, and inventing solutions with minimal guidance.
* Collaborates with clients, internal teams, and 3P vendors.
* Data-driven and obsessed with understanding customer behavior to invent and simplify.
* Create concepts, present and execute campaigns on behalf of our advertiser’s needs.
* Ideate and create digital experiences, ad products, commercials, branded content, and event activations.
* Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.


A day in the life
* Concepting innovative solutions for a product launch.
* Creating a unique experience on Fire TV.
* Tweaking creative messaging in response to Legal and PR feedback.
* Selling through a campaign to brand clients and partner media agencies.
* Pitching and helping lead third-party production partners.

About the team
The Brand Innovation Lab team is the group within Amazon that creates one-of-a-kind campaigns and experiences for global advertisers. Utilizing various platforms within the Amazon canvas (Alexa, Twitch, AWS, Fire TV, Amazon Fresh, Lockers, etc.), we create campaigns that reach millions of Amazon customers across our digital channels and in the real-world. The Non-Endemic Automotive and Restaurants Pod specifically deals with large automotive and quick-service restaurants brands that want to partner with Amazon to launch innovative, never-been-done campaigns.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of experience at advertising agencies and/or in-house creative departments.
- Must have an online portfolio URL in your resume demonstrating big thinking that can extend into any medium.
- Strong understanding of digital and social platforms, as well as their use within marketing.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, including the ability to present concepts clearly and persuasively to colleagues, partners, stakeholders, and especially to senior executives.
- Exceptional writing skills that demonstrate the ability to create campaign content that attracts, retains, and grows an audience.
- Must have experience in video production.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $108,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
