Software Development Manager, Selling Partner Financial Tech

Selling Partners depend on us to provide accurate and transparent financial information to help them manage and grow their business. We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead the technical strategy and execution for building financial solutions across Web, API and Mobile for Selling Partners and Builders. You will scope complex projects and deliver simple elegant solutions. You will drive the development schedule from design to release, making appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market. Your solution will achieve our vision towards unparalleled financial accuracy and transparency. The right person for this role will have proven ability to execute strategically and tactically to turn ambiguous users and business needs to successful products. They are known to communicate effectively with senior leaders and have the ability to earn trust and influence partner teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building a best-in-class engineering team that delivers excellent results through rapid iterations
- Designing and developing state-of-the-art approaches to solving complex and ambiguous problems
- Cultivating engineering and operational excellence through metrics and continuous learning
- Providing thought leadership and establishing technical vision for the team
- Mentoring and growing superstar SDEs to take on increasingly higher responsibilities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
