DESCRIPTION

The AGI team is responsibly advancing Amazon’s generative AI technologies, including the company’s most expansive multimodal foundation models.

As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in design, development, test, and deployment of innovative systems that can collect and process data within a smart and passionate multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for a candidate that will have an established a strong technical ability, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with a team of Applied Scientists with expertise in specialized areas such as Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning.

- Responsible for development and maintenance of core modules and services.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules.
- Will work with scientists and software engineers to evaluate technical feasibility, investigate design approaches and prototype and develop new technology.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
