We are looking for an Account Manager leader to play an important role in the recruitment team, helping to develop effective management and hunting for new partners to contribute to Amazon's growth.
In this role, you will manage the Retail Vendor Recruitment (RVR) team, responsible for pitching, negotiating and developing the initial relationship with new vendors to successfully grow their businesses at Amazon. As the manager of this team, you will own all aspects of this program, from defying the strategy, organizational design and goals to communicating plans and results to the Retail leadership.
This position integrates with multiple teams across the Amazon organization. The successful RVR Manager is a good listener, communicator, effective problem solver, and is able to translate the overarching business strategy to concrete actions and results.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team, including people managers, to deliver new vendor recruitment, selection acquisition and financial goals;
- Align strategic growth priorities with business stakeholders, build and approve operational plans, and own the day-to-day execution to deliver results against goals;
- Define, track and assess key performance metrics to identify defects and improvement opportunities;
- Participate in business review with the Retail leadership team to communicate results, remove blockers, and align priorities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of team management experience
- Experience of managing and developing a high performance team
- 7+ years of negotiations and vendor management experience
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Advanced English proficiency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience working cross functionally across finance, marketing or supply chain
