Reporting Specialist, Amazon Music
DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a detail-oriented Reporting Specialist to oversee data flows and ensure timely, accurate reporting to Business, Finance, and Leadership. This role also manages planning cycles for marketing costs, aligning reporting with budget goals.
Key job responsibilities
- Responsible for insightful reporting combining financial data from Oracle with project data from monday.com
- Responsible for data integrity including consistent use of common fields in monday.com and owner of coding for worldwide Music team
- Deliver reporting for Business, Finance, and Leadership teams, ensuring that all data is accurate, relevant, and aligned with stakeholder needs.
- Lead the planning process (OP and R&O cycles) for marketing and content spend, ensuring monday.com data can be used
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ad hoc reporting-related queries from stakeholders, ensuring clear and transparent communication of findings and insights.
- Continuous improvement of reporting processes to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of reporting.
- Reporting to accounting on month over month movements in marketing & content spend as well as reporting to finance on OP2 / Guidance variances
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
- Capable of managing multiple reporting cycles and deadlines, with a strong focus on time management.
- High attention to detail, especially when working with large datasets, to ensure accuracy in reporting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Understanding of financial planning, particularly related to marketing costs, is desirable.
