AWS Hardware Engineering Services designs and delivers all of the servers in AWS. Our systems are used by every AWS customer. We produce an awesome flood of innovative technologies for AWS customers, and we operate at a massive and ever-growing scale.
We are currently looking for AN ORCHESTRATOR OF INCREDIBLE FEATS OF STRENGTH AND TEAMWORK to drive security programs at all phases of the hardware lifecycle. Is that you? How can you tell? You are a seasoned Technical Program Manager (TPM) who is passionate about creating plans, providing visibility, driving decisions, and improving team throughput. You can’t get enough of working with customers, peers, and suppliers to define and deliver projects and to resolve issues. You love to dig into data to understand the right things to do. Teaming up with empowered, talented people to overcome gigantic challenges is what gets you out of bed in the morning. And, finally, with your strong ownership bias, you have an infectious desire to continually improve and simplify how things are done.
Key job responsibilities
In this position, you'll do these things:
• Lead the definition, execution, and delivery of innovations and improvements to enhance the security of our servers and associated infrastructure
• Collaborate with engineers and managers across AWS on the server roadmap
• Establish key success metrics for your programs, define and negotiate goals, and guide us towards their successful attainment
• Provide executive-level visibility on progress of your programs
• Collaborate with and learn from world leaders in security, server development, and operations
• Help on other infrastructure-related programs as needed
• Roll up your sleeves as necessary
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
