Senior Merchandise Planner, Shopbop
DESCRIPTION
Shopbop is looking for an innovative, results-driven Senior Merchandise Planner with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive high revenue growth across multiple, complex categories. The Senior Merchandise Planner will create and maintain financial plans that align with overall company goals in partnership with their Buyers. They have a deep understanding of their business with the ability to translate those needs into large scale plans that benefit both their categories and the total organization. A successful candidate is comfortable with ambiguity and is able to move beyond standard templates and processes. They use their expertise and judgment to determine the right goals, inform decisions, and design long-term solutions and strategies that improve organizational efficiency and bottom line results.
Key job responsibilities
-Ownership of the Open to Buy process for multiple, complex areas; optimize sales and inventory to achieve margin goals in partnership with Buyers
-Build plans for vendors by fashion season; identify opportunities and risks within portfolio
-Manage replenishment for multiple OTB categories; develop out of box strategies to optimize full price selling and improve profitability
Identify and manage strategic negotiations with key vendor partners to deliver top and bottom line growth
-Active participant in organization long term automation goals: identify new tool opportunities and partner with tech to scope and deliver solutions that improve efficiency for buying/planning
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of with Excel experience
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and project management
- Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
- 7+ years of merchandise planning experience, related industry experience (consulting, investment banking), or product management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques
- Experience with SQL
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
