Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) Demand Forecasting organization creates scalable systems that predict customer demand for every product offering anywhere in the world. These predictions drive automated decisions about what inventory to buy and where to put it, all in an effort to ensure that Amazon's customers can buy the things they want as quickly as possible.

Key job responsibilities
We are seeking a seasoned technical leader with a strong track record of owning successful products. You’ll manage programs in a fast-paced, leading-edge, startup-like environment. As a technical leader, you’ll need to be a pragmatic visionary that can translate business needs into workable technology solutions that scale both technologically and operationally. Given our rapid growth, you’ll need to be able to lead the organization through change, evolution, and sustained growth as well as be able to navigate interdependent, multi-stakeholder projects.
Successful candidates will have an established track record of delivery of complex software systems, excellent people and project management skills, keen technical aptitude, solid communication skills, and be driven to achieve results in a fast paced environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
