Job Profile –Subject Matter Expert – Retail Business Services (RBS)
Amazon.com operates in a virtual, global ecommerce environment without boundaries, and operates a diverse set of businesses in fourteen countries, including Retail, third party marketplaces, ecommerce platforms, web services for developers.
The RBS group is an integral part of Amazon online product lifecycle and buying operations. The team is designed to ensure Amazon remains competitive in the online retail space with the best price, wide selection and good product information. The team offers eligible vendors a dedicated focus on high-quality product detail and discoverability, to drive traffic and conversion of their selection. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and online user experience.
Amazon Vendor Service (AVS) team ensures the priority processing of catalog and merchandising vendor services. AVS aims at improving the overall Amazon vendor experience. The service performance (speed and completeness) is essentially driven by the quality, timeliness, and pro-activeness of the product information provided by the manufacturer.
Key job responsibilities
Roles and Responsibility:
This role mainly works for Amazon Japan Retail team and your customers are JP Program Managers and Brand Specialists. You will interact directly with Amazon internal customers, as well as global functional team to streamline process, manage requirement changes and ensure high catalog quality and provide high quality service delivery to sellers according to requirements and SLAs previous agreed. As an SME you will focus on data analysis, solution building, process implementation as well as process excellence.
Key Performance Areas:
· Design and development end to end process
· Process improvement and Kaizen to up and downstream process
· Data Analysis to identify issues and root causes
· Build up solution and implement to operation
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Skills:
· A bachelor’s or equivalent business school degree.
· Excellent written and verbal Japanese with proficiency. You must be able to act with professional integrity, working positively, quickly and effectively with a variety of personalities and work styles.
· Confidence when handling simultaneous customer relationships; a strong service mindset and ability to use metrics to identify focus areas. You must be skilled at understanding and interpreting business objectives, considering the needs of both Amazon and external partners.
· Versatility, with an ability to think on your feet, make smart decisions, manage competing projects, meet deadlines and deliver high quality results under pressure.
· Excellent attention to detail with solid analytical skills to evaluate and resolve ambiguity with processes, including monitoring and improving performance against KPIs.
· You must display passion and initiative in solving problems (even when outside your remit), both re-actively and pro-actively. You must be able to propose creative solutions, taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
· Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Content Management Systems – able to learn and use new tools and systems quickly.
