Principal Finance Manager, Commercial Sector, Amazon Business, US CPS

Come be a part of a rapidly expanding $35 billion dollar global business. Amazon Business (AB) seeks a Principal Finance Manager to support its fast-paced Commercial Sector business. This business partnership role will be responsible for shaping growth strategy with business insights, defining goals for profitable growth, executing topline and P&L controllership, financial assessment of multi-million-dollar deals.
Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will need to lead and coordinate with the business team full financial planning cycle, develop deep understanding of business drivers and incorporate them into financial modeling. The role will partner with business to develop high velocity industry growth strategies, new metrics to target business results, and build & automate new reporting to allow business track progress against these metrics. The role will need to build ROI analysis of bespoke customer deals and communicate to US CPS and AB leadership, as well as track the actuals results of deal launches. The role will be engaged into development of new programs and sales motions to accelerate growth.
The role requires high degree of learn and be curious to understand needs of our customers, and bias for action to navigate in the start-up-like, ambiguous customer facing environment. The role will be responsible to execute on one or several cross-CPS SMEship projects and analysis, with broad scope and visibility to AB senior leadership. Finally, this role requires the capability to clearly articulate the financial aspects and takeaways of their analyses to influence senior leaders.
A day in the life
- Serve as the Business Partner for the Commercial business segment, driving profitable topline growth
- Support Financial Planning and Analysis cycle including: Topline & P&L OP1 & OP2 planning, Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews with AB leadership
- Engage with business and partner teams across ComSec Sales, AB WW FP&A, Go-To-Market Sales Operations teams, AB Managed Spend Teams to develop insights and influence initiatives
- Influence business decisions through effective verbal and written communication with senior leaders, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of options and alternatives using a broad range of tools including Excel, SQL, and Cognos

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's Degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience in a leadership position managing finance, accounting and operational processes
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
