Sr. Accessory QEM/SQM (Tooling), Quality & Lean Manufacturing
DESCRIPTION
Supply Quality Manager strives to lead the end to end product quality and have the ability to scale to support the variable engagement model from CM (contract manufacturing to ODM (original design manufacturer).
Key responsibilities include qualifying and bring-up of new suppliers to support increased capacity and/or new programs, developing approved suppliers to continuously deliver Amazon high quality products, driving yield improvement quarter over quarter.
Key job responsibilities
Lead cross functional team to conduct potential supplier qualification audits in both system and process levels.
Maintain quality data, ie audits, build yield, quality scorecards, as key input to QBR.
Develop new suppliers or existing suppliers to improve its reliability and quality. Drive into Sub-tier suppliers for quality review and corrective actions when necessary.
Perform pre-audit before NPI starts to review supplier readiness.
Participate New Product Readiness Reviews and make proper decision (approval or block) to cross functional team.
Identify potential problems in product design, specifications and materials, dive deep & able to drive supplier to find out root causes & solutions.
Co-work with Global Commodity Managers, engineering & cross functional team for qualification of second or multiple sources. Review and approve request of engineering or production changes.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree or above. Mechanical or engineering background.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing and quality environment.
6+ years (L5) or 8+ years (L6) tooling working experience.
Strong mechanical experience, includes the capability of reviewing tool DFM, tool qualification based on PPAP process.
Ability to read and interpret engineering documents, able to do stack up tolerance analysis.
Familiar with 2nd operation process (like painting, CNC, Deburr etc).
Familiar with molding injection process, able to tune the molding parameters in supplier side & run experiments to find the best process window.
Familiar with measurements, ability to identify program NUDD, product CTQ & process CTP.
Solid understanding on quality tools such as statistical process control, such as Pareto charts/8D problem solving, FMEA, GR&R, FAI (first article inspection), Cpk (statistical process capability), PPAP etc.
Must be self-motivated/self-directed, is able to manage multiple tasks flawlessly.
Capable of collaborating with global cross functional team and make impacts.
Frequent travel between CMs is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience on DOE will be a plus.
FATP experience, poke yoke fixture design or process automation experience.
Good experience on Minitab or JMP to perform data analysis and make sound decisions.
Six sigma GB or BB and auditor certification.
Ability to influence others and interact at all levels within the organization.
