Business Intelligence Engineer, OnRoad Staffing

The On Road Staffing (ORS) team is seeking a talented Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team. Our team is scaling processes and initiatives fast, requiring the Sr. BIE to hit the ground running.
This leader will have solid business acumen, be comfortable interfacing and driving across various functional teams, have a passion for developing and implementing processes in an ambiguous problem space, and be willing to roll up their sleeves to build a program that will significantly impact Amazon’s last mile delivery capabilities. The leader will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
The role may be based in one of the following Amazon corporate locations:
- Nashville, TN
- Bellevue, WA
Key job responsibilities
- Own, design, develop, document, and manage scalable solutions for new and ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, visualizations, and dashboards to support business needs
- Own and develop queries and data visualizations for ad-hoc, recurring, troubleshooting requests and projects, as well as for ongoing reporting by leveraging SQL, Redshift, QuickSight and Tableau skillsets
- Dive deep to understand frameworks utilized for storing data and different tools and solutions used to gain access to it
- Use data mining, data modelling ,data warehousing, and other analytical techniques to develop and maintain customer segmentation and predictive models to drive the business
- Design and drive experiments to form actionable recommendations. Present to business leaders in both ad-hoc forums and routine business reviews (MBR/QBR) to drive decisions
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
