We make our devices easily discoverable and available through every channel, and develop relationships with retailers and partners across the large and complex retail landscape in Brazil. Product lines currently available in Brazil include Echo/Alexa, Kindle and Fire TV.
Amazon Devices is looking for a dynamic leader to manage the retail channel in Brazil. You would own the relationships with distributors & retail partners and be responsible for the customer experience while purchasing our devices in multiple physical and online stores. The leader has to cultivate existing & new channels to optimize investments and improve customer shopping experience. You will work on creation of sales promotion strategy with strong rigor on last mile execution. You will partner with internal cross functional teams & external field force to deliver on sales targets.
Key job responsibilities
• Execute the strategy of how Amazon Devices are deployed in retail channels.
• Manage a team responsible for sales planning, trade marketing and channel marketing.
• Manage the channel P&L, meeting/exceeding financial and sales goals.
• Own identifying, pitching and negotiating retail listing and merchandising agreements that enable display and sales of Amazon Devices.
• Own and lead engagements with senior leadership at retailers and distribution partners to support the continued optimization and financial sustainability of Amazon Devices.
• Inspect processes and mechanisms across the team that track sales forecasts, determine allocations, and plan shipments.
• Manage the full life-cycle of in-store fixtures and demonstration units that support the exhibition of our products, including design, manufacturing, deployment and maintenance.
• Owns a voice-of-the-customer feedback mechanism to influence product roadmaps, product features and address customer pain points.
• Develop a team structure that aligns talent to the strategic objectives of the channel sales team, and hire & develop the best talent to deliver on these objectives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of team management experience
- 8+ years of experience in channel sales and trade marketing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills both in Portuguese and English
- Experience in negotiating contracts at the CXO level across channel partners and agencies
- Experience in managing a P&L and deploying financial controls
- Experience in hiring & developing high quality talent
- Adept at managing both strategic and operational aspects of the role
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work successfully with teams across the organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Be comfortable executing hands-on day-to-day tasks to get things done.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA
- Experience in consumer electronics retail or manufacturer.
