Sr manager, Applied Science, Prime Video Personalization and Search

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a science leader to lead a team of scientists that will drive high impact research, measurement, and building in the prime video personalization and search domain, broadly generalized as 'content discovery'. This leader will lead building of solutions that enable prime video to become customers' global entertainment destination of choice. Primarily, this leader will enable definition of success, instrumentation of solutions that leverage state of the art scientific solutions and customer segmentation at scale.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of applied ML experience in deploying ML solutions to customer facing products
• 3+ years hands-on experience leading multiple ML teams to design products that satisfy a customer need
• Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics or related field (or requisite relevant experience)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Demonstrated track record of delivery for large, cross-functional projects with evolving requirements
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication with an ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
- Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $196,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $340,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
