External Fulfillment Operations Manager
DESCRIPTION
External Fulfillment (EF) includes a variety of programs in which Amazon works hand in hand with a wide range of sellers and vendors to ship products from their warehouses directly to our customers.
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and monitoring the seller's/vendor's facilities from an operations and compliance standpoint. This is achieved through the coordination of their term, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
This is a people manager role with six direct reports.
Key job responsibilities
- Provide a daily follow up with our sellers/vendors, this is in order to make sure that all our customers orders are processed in timely manner
- Keep the program KPIs on target (the ideal candidate needs to be analytical, knowing how to dive deep on root causes and proposing solutions)
- Propose standardization and improvements through lean manufacturing techniques
- Manage escalations and difficult conversations in English and Spanish with some sellers/vendors and stake holders, having always as main goal to keep and improve our Customer's experience
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of team management experience
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience in data mining, data management, reporting, and SQL queries
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
