Senior Product Manager, Amazon International Expansion

The International Expansions (IE) organization’s charter is to rapidly expand Amazon’s retail presence globally, partnering closely with category management, technology, and product teams to deliver the world’s largest selection to our international customers. Within the IE organization, our team's vision is build the tools that enable our vendors and sellers to go global effortlessly, discovering global business insights that drive customer engagement and ensure our success in new and emerging marketplaces.
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Product Manager to lead product development of key features in our product roadmap, drive key business metrics, and develop requirements for innovative technologies that align with our global sourcing strategy. As a successful candidate, you will have experience managing complex businesses, solving technical challenges, and influencing key partner teams to drive initiatives to completion. You have a strong bias toward data driven decision making and an innate ability to understand how metrics relate to business problems and to each other.
You are a product leader who has the ability to communicate priorities and work effectively with stakeholders, including teams across software engineering, logistics, product management, legal, finance, and core retail businesses. You should be comfortable with an extremely high degree of ambiguity, can work across a wide cross section of stakeholders, and relish the idea of solving challenging problems. You will tackle novel situations every day and given the size of this initiative, you’ll have the opportunity to work with Amazon teams around the globe.
A day in the life
• Help define the strategy and drive the onboarding of new countries in various systems and services - partnering with local business teams in new countries to understand country-specific requirements, and driving implementation with relevant tech teams.
• Able to combine a deep understanding of customer behaviors and interests with the optimal mix of features that keep Amazon competitive and drive long-term customer engagement.
• Demonstrates a high bar for customer obsession, delivering results, bias for action, earning trust, taking ownership, inventing & simplifying and is right a lot.
• Potential for international travel.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Experience owning technology products
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
