Software Developer Engineer, Snow Data
DESCRIPTION
As a Software Development Engineer with Amazon Snow Family, part of EC2 Edge, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying solutions to help our world-wide customer base process data at the edge or move petabytes of data to and from AWS.
You will also have the opportunity to work closely across teams and disciplines with cross-functional peers to help customers accelerates their migration initiatives, critical business workflows and business continuity objectives.
We are looking for Software Development Engineers who have built software – shipped products and created tools and modules. You should be passionate about software development using your strong technical skills and motivation to achieve results.
The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, strong organizational skills, able to work on multiple tasks at once, able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure. You are a quick learner who can adapt seamlessly. You are able to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages. You must be able to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, work to improve the customer experience, and get the right things done.

- Delivering software features and improvements to major portions of your team’s software.
- Working with customers, stakeholders, and peers in order to understand and deliver the right solutions
- Solving our complex technical challenges with customer obsession.
- Strive to constantly improve our operational practices and excellence.
- Work with other engineers to diagnose and resolve customer issues including as part of on-call rotation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
