Amazon Studios is responsible for producing and acquiring compelling, exclusive Original content for our massive global base of Amazon Prime Video customers. Amazon Studios is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. The Senior Financial Analyst will support the financial planning efforts, with direct ownership of key line items on our Studios P&L. With direct influence over content investment decisions and strategy, this is an ideal opportunity for a finance professional who is passionate about data, analytics, driving value for customers, and, of course, video content.
Key job responsibilities
- Provide timely, accurate and complete financial forecasting and reporting for our Studios
- Perform financial analyses to our key stakeholders throughout their decision-making processes
- Implement strategies to increase the efficiency of our Studio operations
- Execute opportunities for process improvement and automation
- Contribute to post-mortem analyses to determine areas for optimization and improvement on past content investment decisions
A day in the life
This role requires strong financial modelling skills, keen attention to detail and the ability to influence at the working level to drive the organization to the right result. This role has regular interaction with multiple teams across Amazon Studios and Prime Video, and requires strong communication skills, as well as the ability to problem-solve. The successful candidate will have operated in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and will be able to prioritize multiple projects.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA
- Previous Entertainment/Media experience.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Access, Essbase and/or Cognos) and other financial systems such (e.g. Oracle).
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
