Senior Technical Program Manager, Product & Solutions Engineering

AWS Products & Solutions Engineering builds software solutions that accelerate customer business outcomes on AWS - we are a part of the AWS Professional Services (ProServe) organization that works directly with AWS customers. Our mission is to bring Amazon’s industry-leading software engineering expertise to expand customer adoption of AWS, accelerating customer business outcomes. Our strategy is to build for reuse and scale whether the software is delivered to and used by customers or employed as part of ProServe delivery to customers. One of our key domain areas is Generative AI (GenAI) and we are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join the team and ensure we delivery the strategy to deliver GenAI solutions across a re-imagined portfolio for AWS Customers.
The TPM will be responsible for leading multiple simultaneous GenAI product development programs in a cross-functional environment which includes internal/external customers, engineering, and stakeholders. You’ll provide leadership in the application of new technologies, like GenAI, to provide customers new capabilities. This is a fast-paced, intellectually challenging position, and you’ll work with thought leaders in multiple technology areas. You’ll have high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, and you’ll be constantly looking for ways to improve outcomes. You will work independently in a dynamic, challenging, and fast-changing organization. The role straddles business and engineering domains and is responsible for translating strategy and requirements to technical and functional design.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Make recommendations and decisions that impact schedules, as well as an ability to re-shuffle priorities and juggle competing interests on a frequent basis.
* Provide management support for GenAI Solution planning, development, launch, and operations.
* Breaking down program goals into attainable, measurable work-streams for the organization and teams.
* Act as the point of contact for awareness, execution, and enforcement of programs within the organization.
* Coordinating program execution across the organization, driving teams to success while building strong, and lasting relationships.
* Develop, collect, and utilize metrics that drive continuous improvement of a program’s effectiveness.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- Experience in software development
- Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams
- 5+ years of experience in program management skills; these skills include organization, strong communication (written and verbal) skills, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, time management, and delivering results
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Confident leader who can prioritize and analyze trade-offs, communicate clearly and compellingly and effectively influence internally and externally, across organization boundaries. Able to independently influence and resolve conflicts with others
