AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
[AWS China Introduction] Amazon Web Services came to China in 2013, and has been relentlessly investing and expanding our infrastructure and business since then. Amazon Web Services launched its China (Beijing) Region (operated by Sinnet) in September 2016 and its China (Ningxia) Region (operated by NWCD) in December 2017. In 2019, Amazon Web Services added a new region in Hong Kong, making China the only country with three Amazon Web Services regions aside from the U.S. In 2022, Amazon Web Services launched Local Zone in Taipei. As a one of our cloud networking service specialists, this job role is responsible for the cloud edge service go to market, covering (but no limited) the services of CloudFront, Shield and WAF, etc. You will have the exciting opportunity to help promote the growth and shape the future of a leading CDN technology. Your responsibilities will be to help increase the market penetration in enterprise accounts.
The ideal candidate will possess both a business and technical background that enables them to engage an account at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. The candidate should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan.
Key job responsibilities
- Promote AWS edge services in a defined territory or industry vertical sales teams;
- Build & propose a comprehensive account/territory edge service GTM plan;
- Create & articulate compelling value propositions around the use of CloudFront, Shield, AGA and WAF;
- Help facilitate customer adoption of AWS edge services;
- Work with partners to extend coverage and the edge services adoption; Contribute to positive customer satisfaction

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Masters or MBA a plus. A technical background in engineering, computer science/MIS or equivalent networking/CDN services experience is a plus. Direct field experience in working with field team in China region is a plus. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Fluent in English & Chinese.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in online advertising or high-tech products/services
