ROW APEX is the central command and control center for transportation execution across the Amazon Supply Chain network supporting multiple geographies across the world with the primary contributions to the RoW countries (ex : Europe, Japan, India, ECCF countries etc.). We ensure hassle free, timely pick-up and delivery of freight from vendors to Amazon Centers and from Amazon Centers to customers.
This hiring is being conducted for DSP Payments within Japan, a team under the umbrella of the Marcopolo project, which aims to create a streamlined process for payments to be validated and go through with little to minimum field operator input.





Key job responsibilities
- Validate daily payments by through compliant processes without any misses.
- Handle daily payment related escalations through written and verbal communications within a fixed SLA to ensure timely resolution.
- Analyze provided data and create daily/weekly/monthly reports for stakeholder visibility.
- Systematically escalate to the right leaders to ensure problems or variance in the provided information for the right visibility.
- Understand and comply to performance metrics which assist in driving business results.

A day in the life
Inside a day of a Transportation Specialist within DSP Payments, they would be working on 4 main aspects :-
- Validation [Validation of daily payments by combing through multiple different internal portals, tools and datasets]
- Escalation Handling [Deep dives into requests (through tickets) and work with the internal and external stakeholders to correctly process the request.]
- Comply to internal performance metrics and track their status
- Create daily/weekly/monthly reports to provide leadership visibility.

About the team
Under the centralized DSP Payments team handles daily verification and exception handling of factors impacting the payments to our third party delivery partners (DSPs). We work on validating processes and payments for them to stay compliant while ensuring smooth flow of payments to the DSP. Along with this our team is also constantly working on understanding trends within the network and then creating automation and suggesting programmatic changes to streamline on-ground operations. This aspect involves overall network monitoring, significant analysis of data, identifying trends and proposing efficient solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics
- Experience with Excel
- Should be a good problem solver.Should be empathetic to understand the customer's issues.
- Should be good at research and identification of issues.
- Should have intermediate English knowledge, verbal and written.
- Should be inclusive to all cultures.
- Should be comfortable with repetition of work and find opportunities to make it more efficient
- Should be curious to learn.
- Should be willing to work in over-night shifts since the operations run 24*7.
- Should be comfortable with variable week offs (Non Sat-Sun).
- Should be willing to shift to a work from office model -> RTO (Return To Office) as and when required by Amazon.
