AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop a regional priority Industries marketing strategy and plan designed to increase awareness, accelerate the sales cycle, grow advocacy, and increase sales across multiple channels, in support of Sales priorities and revenue goals.
- Engage with sales leadership at various levels to ensure alignment on business priorities, marketing strategies, tactics and desired outcomes.
- Create and execute high-impact, online and offline, priority industry specific campaigns showcasing the value and differentiation of AWS services and solutions.
- Gather market and customer insights, collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Business Development, Partner, and others, and use these insights to develop and execute a marketing strategy for the industry.
- Lead internal cross-functional teams and external agencies through campaign development, design, and implementation.
- Prioritise, manage and optimise marketing spend to deliver against KPIs.
- Deliver detailed reporting and metrics on activity results, campaign effectiveness, and ROI. Use data to make real-time adjustments and proactively identify trends and opportunities.
A day in the life
The Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) Industry and Executive Marketing team is seeking a, data-driven, hands-on and self-directed Industry Marketing Manager to drive the regional marketing strategy, plan and demand generation for priority industries across APJ. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a rapidly growing business and to transform the way we interact with our customers. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a Field Marketing strategy to drive industry awareness and increase adoption of Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) across APJ. You will partner with cross-functional teams to develop industry specific strategies and execute a holistic marketing strategy and syndicate key learnings across all areas of our organization (Sales, Product, Marketing, Public Relations, Analyst Relations, Business Development, and Partner/Alliances). This role requires a strategic thinker, able to analyse and interpret data, providing creative solutions to address gaps and areas of opportunity.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proven track record for synthesising data and customer insights to develop high-impact, end-to-end marketing strategies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years’ work experience and held a similar marketing position in a high-tech B2B sales-facing marketing role such as field marketing, partner marketing, product marketing
- Successful track record of building and executing audience specific marketing strategies with clear goals and objectives that align with business priorities and support revenue targets.
- Consistently demonstrated success in hands-on programs and campaign execution, and project management.
- Ability to work on multiple, simultaneous programs that require strategic thinking as well as high-speed tactical execution. Interested in building programs and processes from the ground up and comfortable in ambiguous environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Marketing experience working in rapid growth companies and industries
- Knowledge about cloud computing market and technologies
- Skill to use BI tools, Salesforce, Marketo and other digital marketing tools
- Strong stakeholder engagement (internal and external) with the ability to influence.
