Senior Vendor Manager, North America, Branded Gift Cards
DESCRIPTION
The Amazon Gift Card business is a rapidly growing, multi-billion-dollar business. Within Gift Cards, the Branded Gift Cards team is responsible for managing Specialty (3P) Gift Cards (e.g. Starbucks, Apple) and aspires to have the largest selection of gift cards on Earth, from national brands to local neighborhood businesses.
This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing, customer-centric, experienced and entrepreneurial Sr. Vendor Manager in the North America Branded Gift Cards team. This role will support the US business and build and manage relationship with our top Brands, contributing to improvements in the user experience for customers and strategic growth plans. The ideal candidate has strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management. Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, and ability to 'think big' skills are musts. The Senior Vendor Manager is an effective leader and communicator and a seasoned problem-solver with a keen sense of ownership. They also develop thorough understanding of the Payments and Gift Card industry, macro trends, and future trajectory.
The SVM in this role thinks and operates as a business owner, cultivating a deep understanding of all major inputs that drive long term performance (selection, price, availability, forecasting, operational excellence, marketing, mix). Further is able to negotiate effectively with the industry’s largest Brands - manage contracts, annual negotiations strategy, marketing, and day-to-day relationships.
Vendor Managers in NA BGCs are fully involved in online marketing and vendor management functions, inclusive of some of the following tasks for our 3P GC Brands; 1) .Online marketing: improving product page data, developing marketing and merchandising plans, improving customer experience onsite, helping generating traffic and sales. 2) Vendor management: help growing selection of products to sell on Amazon, creating short and mid-term growth plans, identifying and resolving issues.
We are looking for a candidate who brings enthusiasm for problem solving, is a trusted collaborator with a team player mindset, and strong attention to detail. Their exceptional collaboration and general management skills will help them navigate the unknown and build relationship with a wide range of teams (tech, geos, operations, brands).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of digital advertising and client facing roles with a focus on data analysis experience
- Experience with annual brand and media planning
- Experience in digital advertising and client facing roles with a focus on data analysis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience hiring and developing sales management teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $182,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
