WONDERY (an Amazon company) is one of the largest podcast publishers in the US with the most local language versions of its shows. Launched in 2016, and known for its immersive podcasts, Wondery became the fastest network to join the Top 10 ranker by Podtrac in the US, propelled by hit shows such as Dr. Death, Dirty John, Even the Rich, and Business Wars. Wondery launched the global hit Dr. Death in seven languages worldwide, reaching #1 in five countries and recently hit #1 with their latest DE show, “Milli Vanilli: Ein Pop-Skandal”. Many Wondery series are being adapted for scripted television, including Dr Death, The Shrink Next Door, and WeCrashed. Our German-language shows include Kurt Krömer - Feelings, Free Hugs, Was bisher geschah and Kampf der Unternehmen.

Wondery are hiring for a Advertising Sales Executive, reporting into the DE Head of Sales. You will use your demonstrated experience executing a sales strategy to drive revenue opportunities for Wondery, Amazon Ads and additional third-party podcast inventory. The role is ideal for someone who has experience in a fast-moving digital media environment and a track record of forming and building sustained relationships with agencies and clients. By building strategic partnerships, this is an opportunity to be instrumental in Wondery’s impact on podcast advertising in Germany.

Key job responsibilities
• Generate advertising revenue via ad agencies and advertisers directly, through objective led selling across Podcasting and other brand building solutions
• Support and execute a go-to-market sales strategy to generate revenue across podcast ad inventory including sponsorships, host reads, producer reads, spot and programmatic sales as well as develop custom solutions for clients
• Proactively uncover opportunities and connect them with a value adding solution
• Work closely with the content team to provide market insights and maintain full insight into the content slate
• Develop partnerships with agencies and brands to create advertising opportunities in the podcast space
• Work closely with international and internal sales teams to maximize revenue and ensure a consistency around our sales strategy
• Maintain reporting and forecasting
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of customers' marketing and media strategies

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Digital media sales experience working with agencies and direct to brand
• Experience of nurturing and growing complex and large client accounts
• Fluent in both spoken and written German (Common European Framework of Reference C2)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Podcast Advertising sales experience
• Knowledge of programmatic advertising and international media sales experience
• Network of agency/brand contacts and relationships
• Ability to influence senior executives
• Digital media sales experience working with agencies and direct to brand, preferably in audio
• Experience of nurturing and growing complex and large client accounts
