Sr. Sourcing Manager, Amazon Merch on Demand

In this rapidly growing fast paced environment, we are looking for a motivated, organized self-starters with an entrepreneur spirit, to join our team as our Sr. Sourcing Manager, at our Carrollton, TX location.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role within the supply chain. We are looking for a passionate leader with proven experience in vendor sourcing, complex modeling, and collaborating with global stakeholders. In this role, you will define and implement our global sourcing strategy for apparel products. The right candidate is detail-oriented, builds strong relationships and has a relentlessly positive attitude.
Key job responsibilities
Vendor and Product Management -
• Conduct quarterly supply and product business reviews to drive necessary improvements.
• Build and maintain supplier SOPs, and on-board new suppliers.
• Partner with compliance, social responsibility, and sustainability teams to document and maintain supplier requirements.
• Act as a liaison, resolving any issues that may arise with a contract or supplier.
• Lead new product sourcing and program management across suppliers, operations, business development, and tech.
• Lead product and supplier selection decisions in leadership line reviews.
• As requested, build inventory forecasts, and drive automation strategies.
Vendor Qualification -
• Develop a short and long-term sourcing strategy.
• Identify the best supplier through detailed supplier qualification analysis.
• Partner with research and development teams to test new fabrics, and suppliers to develop new products.
• Research and execute best transportation and storage work flow solution, from factory to Amazon production sites.
Costing and Contract Management -
• Lead multi-million dollar deals that are strategic in nature and have global impact.
• Negotiate all aspects of the vendor relationship including costing, payment terms, inventory management, and contract terms.
• Review existing contracts to identify and improve unfavorable business terms.
• Draft work orders that define all unique, project-specific terms. Lead contract review sessions with internal and external stakeholders to finalize terms.
• Lead annual RFPs with new and existing suppliers, recapping proposed decisions to leadership.
A day in the life
Keys to success in this role include exceptional analytic skills, judgment, and communication skills. The candidate needs to be able to extract insights from data and be able to communicate clearly appropriate triggers and actions.
• Candidate will be focused on sourcing of softline products.
• Candidate will be the procurement advocate for all tools and process development.
• Candidate must have the ability to build and communicate complex sourcing strategies with recommendations for senior management.
• Candidate must be capable of managing multiple complex projects and negotiations at one time.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
- Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level, including: compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc.
