Job ID: 2756144 | Amazon Innovation Center (Shenzhen) Company Limited

DESCRIPTION

Accurate and precise metrology is a critical component of engineering success. As an Optical Metrology Engineer you will support the display and optics teams by providing and developing test methods, specifications, lab equipment, and lab software. You will work on display and LED components in various consumer electronics during both engineering and production phases.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Design and build test setups to characterize optical parameters such as radiant distribution, MTF, contrast, and CIE.
• Develop automated test systems including instrument control, data acquisition, results analysis, and reporting using MATLAB and other software languages.
• Own/maintain/calibrate optical and electrical test equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and configuration issues in test fixtures, prototypes, and production products using various lab test equipment.
• Collect and analyze data to produce reports and recommendations for cross-functional teams.
• Generate specification and procedural documents.

About the team
Our team is dedicated to designing and integrating display modules for cutting-edge devices. We work collaboratively to meet end product requirements, investigating various display modules, integrating sub-components from vendors, and testing performance across optical, electrical, mechanical, and process capabilities. With a startup mentality, we explore new technologies to enhance our products, building demos and architecture documents for Proof-Of-Concept evaluations. If you're excited about hardware product development, new technology investigation, and sustaining shipping devices, come join us in shaping the future of consumer electronics.
