Sr. Technical Program Manager, IMDb Mobile Apps

We are looking for a Sr Technical Program Manager (TPM) to manage the lifecycle of a complex, cross-functional mobile apps program for IMDb. The Engagement & Community team supports a suite of iOS and Android mobile apps for both entertainment fans and professionals. This person will create plans with clear, measurable success criteria and will clearly communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders across product, marketing, engineering, design, testing, and advertising partners.
Key job responsibilities
1) Own successful delivery of large, high impact and cross-functional initiatives while simultaneously tracking a set of smaller projects
2) Contribute to cross-functional planning, leading discovery and prioritization by closely partnering with product managers and engineering leads to develop plans that include roadmaps, dependencies, and resourcing plans
3) Ascertain the true requirements underlying feature requests; recommend alternative technical approaches and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines
4) Communicate clearly and effectively to executive management on plans, status, and critical issues
5) Partner as a technical liaison between business, marketing, design, operational, product, and engineering teams
6) Partner with engineering managers and leads to manage QA testing, monthly and ad hoc releases, and drive operational excellence

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Hands-on experience with native mobile development, across iOS and/or Android apps

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
