The Team: We are expanding our platform team to support Amazon Physical Retail stores which include Amazon Go, Fresh and Whole-foods and all Just-Walk-Walk out stores, as well as Grocery Fulfillment centers.

The Role: We are looking for a highly motivated, versatile software development engineer with expertise in Windows development, .NET,, C# as well as Java and JavaScript. Everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats and cooperate in a highly collaborative environment that’s more startup than big company. As a Software Development Engineer in Amazon Books and Amazon Go, you will collaborate with a team of talented engineers to build highly-scaled, low-latency solutions for frontend (Javascript, CSS, hybrid and native Windows), middle tier (Java, Spring) and backend (non-relational databases) as well as identify and evaluate new technology options for the challenges we are trying to solve. We are looking for a smart engineer who can effectively deal with ambiguity and work independently to clarify requirements, build quick prototypes and deliver results quickly. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
