DESCRIPTION

Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) Edge Networking is looking for a skilled frontend engineer to develop an exciting new service to help customers build, manage and monitor their cloud network. As a member of the team, you will work with a group of talented colleagues and have the opportunity to build technology that will be used by customers world-wide.

Key job responsibilities
FEE 2's on the EC2 Edge Networking Console team aid in the planning, design, and development of features covering a number of various AWS Consoles (including Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN, Site-to-Site VPN, and Private 5G, among others). They also aid in developing our more junior engineers and set the bar for the team's deliverables, operations, code quality, best practices, and more. Additionally, FEE 2's act as advisors to the sister teams whose Consoles we oversee. They provide feedback on design, guidance on best practices, aid in planning and estimation, and participate in reviews for new features.

About the team
The EC2 Edge Networking Console team owns and manages the a wide array of Console experiences, including those supporting Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN, Site-to-Site VPN, Client VPN, AWS Verified Access, Private 5G, Telco Network Builder, and AWS Network Manager. Our ultimate aim is to disambiguate the complexities of modern cloud-based networking by providing intuitive and easy-to-use user experiences. In addition, our sizable Console footprint provides us numerous problems to solve and endless opportunities to help our customers succeed.

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
- 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
- Experience developing new and existing web applications independently and with other developers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
- Previous experience building visualization-heavy user interfaces.
