AWS Supply Chain Specialist, AWS Transportation & Warehousing
DESCRIPTION
The AWS transportation team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain/Logistics Coordinator in Florence KY to manage the day to day transportation operations for the fastest growing industries in the world while working on projects to further enhance our operation. An ideal candidate has a background in transportation and excellent data driven problem resolution skills. They have the ability to work with external partners/influence others, pull and analyze data with ease, drive process improvements, standardize processes, and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current systems. This job will require solid communication skills while having the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

- You enjoy working with data to analyze and report complex data sets to drive optimal business decisions. (Ability to present data and use advance formulas in Excel)
- You own decisions from inception to implementation.
- You own continuous improvement efforts using your program management skills.
Key job responsibilities
- Engage in daily tactical communication with external vendors (Logistics Service Providers) and internal customers
- Analyze data from numerous databases (using Excel, SQL and/or other data management systems) and perform reporting and analysis as needed
- Publish performance metrics to assist with driving business results
- Quickly and efficiently understand the business impact of observed trends and make decisions based on available data
- Identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in Amazon’s transportation operations
- Work with multiple stakeholder teams in the Supply Chain to jointly solve problems and implementing standards
- Work within time constraints to meet critical business needs
- Participate in large projects as a contributor or lead small projects independently

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 1+ years of supply chain experience
- Effective May 15, 2017, logical access to the AWS GovCloud region will be restricted to Amazon employees who are U.S. Citizens. (GovCloud may NOT be accessed from outside of the United States)". This role will directly support GovCloud information and requires U.S. citizenship.
