At Amazon People Technology, the platform group is responsible for building a new state of art cloud native data platform and services to securely house and vend mission critical workforce information. The new platform will be a critical glue and will offer highly scalable services to power numerous business critical systems that keep Amazon going.

Benefits Experience and Technology (BXT) is a completely new organization in Amazon. Amazon has been reliant on vendor services for benefits, and we're just now taking the opportunity to build in-house technology to provide the best experience for Amazonians!

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer responsible for design, development, launch and operation of the key initiatives associated with the most complex integration system. You will work in a highly collaborative and supportive environment across all stages of an agile software development life cycle, including architecture design, development, documentation, testing and operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
