This experimentation fuels Amazon’s innovation. The role of the Prototyping Solutions Architect will apply these methods to assemble and build prototypes with leading customers around the world. You'll work closely with AWS Sales Teams and AWS Service Developers to partner with customers to solve hard problems. AWS is seeking a Senior technical professional with real world AI/ML expertise and experience to join the AWS Specialist Prototyping team to support our rapidly growing and dynamic business.

Key job responsibilities
+ Work with AWS Prototyping engagement managers, solutions architects, customers, and partners to qualify and scope strategic AI/ML prototyping use cases

+ Architect, design, develop and build working AI/ML prototypes with customers

+ Extract best-practice knowledge, reference architectures, and patterns from engagements to promote re-use with the worldwide AWS community

+ Share insights and lessons learned with AWS Service teams to contribute to the continual improvement of AWS services based on Customer need

+ Develop and present detailed technical demonstrations and talks to Business and Technical leaders on 1:1 and 1:many/conference type situations

+ Position requires travel - generally around 25%

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 10+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- Experience using managed AI/ML services and solutions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals
- Experience in applying machine learning models for business application
- Experience programming in Python, TypeScript, Java or related language
- Track record of learning and being curious about emerging technology such as large language models/generative AI
- Experience in implementing and operating cloud solutions in a variety of business environments such as large enterprises and start-ups
- Experience conveying complex subject matter to customers and stakeholders in written and verbal formats

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
