DESCRIPTION

AWS Security is looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) who has a strong passion for security-at-scale. Our team develops tools to automatically find security problems in AWS and Amazon APIs. This includes cloud services such as EC2 and S3 and also extends to consumer services like Amazon Alexa. This is a high visibility team that solves security challenges at a massive scale.

Our team deals with an immense number of APIs, pushing the envelope on scale and advanced analytical techniques to find and mitigate security threats. We work closely with AWS security analysts, incident response engineers, and automated reasoning experts to drive security improvements.

Key job responsibilities
- Help shape the vision for how dynamic analysis will improve security at AWS and Amazon.
- Drive engagement with AWS and Amazon service teams, security teams, and partners.
- Resolve ambiguities and align team plans to minimize technical risk and maximize odds of project success.
- Develop and review requirements for security automation tools.
- Track and report the team's progress using metrics that capture impact and value.
- Track and drive software development.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience working directly with engineering teams
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field; or equivalent work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with any combination of the following: API security or implementation, mobile security, threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration and network security
- Experience with multiple programming languages is a definite plus (such as, Java, Python, Kotlin, etc.)
- Experience implementing and/or driving security solutions at the business level
- Experience managing stakeholders at the VP level and excellent written and verbal communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
