AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

APJ ProServe is seeking a Customer Delivery Architect (Manufacturing) for its Technology & Industry team. This role will be focused on helping Manufacturing customers build or migrate their business workloads on AWS.

From ideation through to build and then to operate, AWS ProServe is committed to helping customers accelerate their time-to-value on AWS. This Senior Customer Delivery Architect (CDA) will be based in Japan but have an APJ wide remit in the Professional Services team. Their focus will be on providing pre-sales support with customer executives followed by hands-on-delivery for Manufacturing workloads.

Successful candidates will have executive level experience in leading, defining, designing and deploying enterprise level strategic solutions in the Manufacturing domain. Domain areas of expertise should include deep expertise in 1 or more of the following:
• Industry 4.0
• Smart Factories
• Digital Twin

The ideal candidate will also have experience with managing data at scale, automation, and/or edge computing.

Key job responsibilities
• Deliver value – Lead and support local ProServe delivery teams as a Subject Matter Expert to deliver transformational ProServe technical engagements for AWS customers in the manufacturing domain
• Pre-sales support – Create and deliver presentations to customers that inspire the art of the possible in manufacturing using cloud computing. Understand customer requirements and collaborate with AWS sales leaders to scope, present, and win new manufacturing customer engagements
• Industry Leadership – Identify common customer interest in APJ and innovate new technology offerings. Work with the global Manufacturing Industry team to stay-ahead of the leading-edge platform services and ProServe technology offerings.
• Industry Expertise Transfer – Upskill AWS ProServe builders in APJ on proven ProServe manufacturing offerings.

This is an executive level customer facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations to deliver professional services when needed.


A day in the life
As the APJ thought leader for manufacturing you will interface across multiple functional disciplines (engineering, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, sales & marketing and aftermarket or service and support), across multiple levels of the organization (CEO, CDO, CIO, VP of Manufacturing, functional Director, and functional specialist) as well as multiple partners/solution providers (systems integrators, managing consulting firms, software providers), AWS services & solution teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of consulting experience working with manufacturing solutions or working as a subject matter expert (SME) in manufacturing
- 10+ years of experience in developing transformational strategies around product/ solution roadmap with execution programs to deliver on envisioned strategy
- Recent and demonstrated hands-on experience with manufacturing domain workloads, e.g., asset performance management (APM), cloud manufacturing execution system (MES), industrial data fabric (IDF), connected devices, computer vision, predictive quality
- Ability to cerate compelling customer proposals and executive-level presentation skills
- Expert-level understanding of Cloud Computing, Hybrid, Multicloud environments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in pre-sales a plus
- AWS Cloud Certifications
- Experience with AWS Manufacturing services, e.g., AWS IoT FleetWise, IoT Greengrass,AWS IoT TwinMaker
