Principal PMT, LLM / Generative AI, Customer Growth and Engagement

Over the past 20 years, Amazon has invented on behalf of the consumer and has become the largest internet retailer and marketplace in the world. We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to drive the development and implementation of LLM / Generative AI Technologies for our customers in Japan. In this critical role, you will work backwards from critical customer problems to define the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for our LLM / Generative AI initiatives, while ensuring they align with our business objectives.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop the long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Amazon's LLM / Generative AI products through identification of critical customer problems.
• Analyze product performance metrics, customer feedback, and market trends, translating data-driven insights into innovative product solutions.
• Lead the prioritization and execution of LLM / Generative AI product initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products while managing trade-offs between scope, resources, and timelines.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including research scientists, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders, to define product requirements, prioritize features, and drive product development lifecycle.
• Influence senior leadership (VP+) in critical investment decisions across Amazon Japan's diverse businesses
• Evangelize for LLMs / Generative AI across the Amazon Japan Stores Organization.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience setting product vision/strategy from scratch that indexes high on leadership influence and evangelism
- Proficiency in English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics
- Thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced Day One environment
