What is Amazon Strategic Account Services (SAS) and its’ purpose?
The SAS Team aims to leverage the full potential of each Amazon Seller, helping them to navigate the increasing complexity of the eCommerce space. SAS team provides in-depth strategic consultancy using a data-driven, collaborative, and Customer-focused approach to achieve commercial goals of Amazon Sellers. Our holistic service offering includes topics such as International expansion, Portfolio Optimization, Fulfillment Strategy, Product Presentation, B2B Sales, Promotions, Advertising Strategy and Brand Building. In parallel to this strategic support, Sellers also receive enhanced operational support by a separate team of operational experts.
What is the role of a PM - Expansion and its’ purpose?
The Expansion PM will be responsible for ensuring that the EUX SAS account management team operates efficiently and effectively. You will work with EU SAS Central product team to align team processes, tools, and metrics with established best practices across the SAS org. You will focus on improving operational workflows, reducing friction, and optimizing resource allocation.
Key job responsibilities
As a PM - Expansion, you are responsible for:
- Process Optimization & Alignment: Identifying and bridging process gaps between EUX and EU5 SAS, driving standardization of processes.
- Workforce Planning: Strategically planning workforce needs for EUX SAS operations to support offshoring and automation initiatives.
- Performance Monitoring & Enhancement: Monitoring and enhancing operational efficiency through data-driven insights (KPIs, WBRs), and implementing process improvement plans.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Fostering collaboration across key teams (Offshoring, Central Product Team, EUX Business team) to streamline processes and implement automation solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, operations management, or engineering.
- Experience in project management, process improvement, or operations management is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and build consensus.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g. Asana, Jira) and methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall).
- Data-driven and results-oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
- Any certifications related to workforce planning, offshoring, or automation would be advantageous.
- Prior experience in a similar PM role or a role with comparable responsibilities.
- Experience working with offshoring and automation teams.
- Experience implementing large-scale process improvement or automation projects.
- A track record of successful project delivery and exceeding KPIs.
