Senior Content Acquisition Manager, PV Sports Partnerships
DESCRIPTION
The Sports Partnerships Team within Prime Video brings a growing selection of live sports to Amazon customers around the world, including NFL, NBA and WNBA, NASCAR, NHL, NWSL, PWHL, Premier Boxing Champions, AEW and more. We are looking for a strategic, analytical, and results-driven candidate who can drive the management and growth of the Pay-Per-View program (PPV) for Amazon's Sports video business.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing and negotiating new PPV content partnerships across different sports. You will also work cross-functionally to ensure the success of existing PPV partnerships, and invent and simplify our processes as we continue to scale the PPV business.
The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, a willingness to think big, and an ability to juggle multiple priorities. This individual must have experience working with partner management, deal negotiation and content analysis. The individual must have a passion for sports, media and entertainment, and delivering results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This individual must be able to clearly and concisely communicate both written and verbally.
Key job responsibilities
- Identify and lead assessment of new content acquisition opportunities
- Negotiate content deals in partnership with Legal/Business Affairs teams
- Manage day-to-day relationships with Leagues/Associations
- Coordinate workstreams across internal teams to drive growth for Amazon’s PPV partnerships
- Write and present updates and deep-dive documents for senior leadership
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the trends/events in the sports, media and entertainment business, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of account management, business development, content licensing or finance experience
- Knowledge of digital video landscape, including solid understanding of digital video distribution technologies
- Experience with end-to-end ownership of major project deliverables
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with deal negotiation and partner management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA
- Ability to understand product and technical requirements and interface with Product/Technology teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
