Who are we?
We are the Mobile and Web Shopping Foundations team. We are a customer-obsessed team with a diverse range of skills ranging from front-end to mobile to the highest scale backend services. Our vision is to enable thousands of engineers across Amazon build and ship delightful customer experiences across all devices. Our frontend and backend services power the Amazon retail experience enabling shopping for millions of customers.

(2) Improve Customer Experience - The innovative shopping experiences we enable are only relevant if our systems and services are highly available, load quickly, and are responsive for our customers globally.
(3) Enable Portability and Fast Experimentation - the write-mostly-once declarative model powered by managed services enables developers across Amazon to deliver customer-facing experiences across multiple surfaces with faster time-to-market.

Our team builds managed services and rendering technologies to power customer experiences across Amazon's retail experience, such as, navigation, search, product details, shopping cart, and checkout — allowing developers to launch features utilized in every customer shopping journey across mobile and web.
