About us

At Prime Video Linear, we’re working to redefine the future of broadcast television. Traditionally, we’ve offered a lean-forward experience where customers can browse rows of personalized, thematic and genre-based carousels. With the Linear experience, customers can now lean-back and enjoy a curated experience of 24x7 linear streaming content with channels like AMC+, EPIX, Freevee, Paramount+, and Starz that span numerous genres and interests. They can select a favorite channel (or try a new one) and enjoy hours of curated continuous streaming content they know they’ll love. We recognize that customers value watching video with ‘zone out’ intent using TV to relax rather than watching with deeply focused attention. We’re catering to this customer desire by reimagining the future of linear television in a digital-first world.

What we do

We own the linear television experience within Prime Video. We focus on customer-facing, high-visibility, high-impact projects. We work cross-functionally to deliver a lean-back viewing experience that delights customers. Our technology focuses on real-time, event-based native AWS services and emerging front-end platforms including Mobile, Web, and TV. The team owns programming metadata management, linear content discovery, personalization, operational readiness, and end-to-end product definition and development of new features and capabilities.

Our vision is to be the world’s most-loved linear streaming service. We do this by building a best-in-class team and offering customers access to the greatest selection of linear TV programming, packaged in a trustworthy and personalized lean-back experience that is elegant, intuitive, and ensures customers never miss a moment that matters.
