Famous for its jewellery and watch-making industry, Pforzheim is affectionately known as Goldstadt, or the Golden City. Today, this busy, modern, family-friendly city is home to nearly 120,000 people. And there’s certainly plenty to recommend it as a place to live and work.

In the town itself, you’ll find a number of bustling outdoor markets nestled among the wide-ranging shops cafes, restaurants and bars. And as the gateway to the Black Forest, Pforzheim is also a great base for hiking and cross-border trips into Switzerland.

Amazon Fulfillment Center

Amazon opened the Fulfillment Center in Pforzheim which is located between Stuttgart and Karlsruhe during fall 2012. It measures 110.000 square meters which equals approximately to 17 football pitches.
